A Solo Practice, by Design
Orlando Counseling & Supervision is a telehealth practice with one provider: me. There's no front desk, no intake coordinator and no handoff to another clinician. The person you talk to on your first call is the person you work with in every session after that.
I built the practice around the clients I work with most: professionals who are used to solving problems on their own, and couples who want less conflict at home. They want to know what the plan is, and how we'll know it's working. Those are fair questions, and I answer them from the first session.
I earned my bachelor's from the University of Central Florida and my master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University. Outside of sessions, I enjoy surfing, playing music and traveling with my family.
How I Approach Therapy
I bring together clinical research and real-world experience, the kind of perspective that comes from working directly with the professionals I treat. Sessions stay personable, but every recommendation I make is grounded in what the data shows works.
The process moves at your pace. Eventually, you choose to end therapy and keep building a life worth living.

Every engagement has a goal
In the first session we define what you want to be different. Progress gets checked against that goal along the way, and therapy ends when you reach it. It isn't open-ended.
Methods with evidence behind them
I use CBT, DBT skills and motivational interviewing because they have strong research support for the problems my clients bring in. If an approach isn't moving you toward the goal, I change it.
Direct, honest feedback
You'll get my honest read on what's going on, including when it isn't what you expected to hear. Being clear with you is part of respecting your time and what you're paying for.
You stay in control
I won't push you to open up faster than you're ready. You decide the pace, what we focus on and how much of your life we get into. Privacy stays with you.
